The Journey: The New House

Here is how this all came together....we closed on the sell of our house on Thursday afternoon then closed on the purchase of this house on Friday. We moved on Friday evening and Saturday and were able to get all our belongings from one house to the other (thanks to the help of our WONDERFUL friends and family!!!) To those who helped, there are no words to express our gratitude to you!

Here are some pictures of the new house for your viewing pleasure. Please understand that we are not yet moved in and that much work still needs to be done. I thought it may be fun to post pictures of the progress so that everyone could stay up to date with what we have done. At this time, we have painted the master bedroom and closet so that we could move some furniture into that room, we have painted the office so that we could work from there, and we have started painting the dining room (behind the china cabinet so that we could unpack all those boxes).

We are scheduled to have the carpets cleaned Thursday afternoon and at that point we will be able to move more furniture into the house. Our goal for this weekend is to continue painting (at least rolling the walls even if we do not get to the trim) so that maybe by the end of the weekend we can move all the furniture in from the garage. Every room in the house will have to be painted because I am not big on pink (and the entire house is pink). We are exhausted from the work, but it will be well worth it in the end. I will have to post the drama stories of moving later.
